Easter 2008
Grandma and Grandpa Mok again
came down for Easter this year. This year we decided to try the Easter Bunny
Express at the South Coast Railroad Musem the day before Easter. Tyler had a
lot of fun checking out the model trains, but when it came time to ride the
miniature train he didn't want to ride it. It didn't help that it was during
nap time and he was pretty cranky, but he went on like a trooper and didn't
complain while the train was in motion. He even visited the Easter Bunny and
got an egg from her. He also walked away with another friend of Thomas the Tank
Engine from the gift shop. Just another toy to add to the collection! Even
Grandma walked away with a new toy when she won one of the giant stuffed
bunnies they were giving away in the hourly drawings. When we got home from the
museum Tyler dyed eggs for the first time and did an awesome job. He was very
careful with them and only cracked one egg during the whole process. Although
he did a great job dyeing the eggs I think his favorite part was just putting
stickers on them.
Easter Sunday we went down to
Santa Barbara to have brunch at Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort. We ate a lot
of food, and afterwards Tyler, Grandpa and Daddy went to Chase Palm Park to
work it off while Grandma and Mama checked out the Arts and Crafts show along
the beach on Cabrillo Blvd. It was a beautiful day to be out and about in Santa
Barbara. When we got home later that day Tyler had a little Easter Egg Hunt in
the backyard where the Easter Bunny had left a whole bunch of eggs. He ended up
with a whole bucket full of eggs. Score!
